Um filme sobre as bibliotecas itinerantes em Portugal, a sua memória e o seu presente, desde o seu aparecimento com a Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian até ao contemporâneo.
Sempre ouvi histórias de avós, tias analfabetas a quem se liam os livros que chegavam nas carrinhas, como uma prenda que vinha ter ao seu caminho.
Quando olho para a fotografia das carrinhas Citröen com todas aquelas crianças descalças, curiosas, interrogo-me que tempos, que histórias foram estas?
Pergunto ainda: Que caminho percorremos? E hoje onde estamos?
This film is about the itinerant libraries in Portugal, its memories and present, from their first appearance with Fundação Gulbenkian to the present days.
There were always many stories about illiterate grandmothers and aunties to whom were read the books from the vans, as presents in their days.
The photos of these old Citröen vans with all the barefoot children, what are these stories?
Still ask: What way did we made? Where are we today?
